BOS Privacy Policy
Operator contact: loading…
What BOS is
BOS finds opportunities (jobs, fellowships, scholarships, grants and similar), prepares applications from the information you give it, and, only with your approval or your standing authorization, submits them for you.
What we collect
- Sign-in: when you use Google to sign in, we receive your e-mail address and Google's account identifier. We use them only to recognise you. We do not store a password, and we do not ask Google for access to your mail, contacts or files.
- What you give us: your profile, education, experience, skills, languages, preferences, documents and CV, the standard answers you save, and your applications.
- Identity documents are stored encrypted, kept apart from ordinary documents and never attached to an application automatically.
- Website sign-in sessions (for example a Google Form you ask BOS to fill) are stored sealed and used only for your own applications.
- Activity records: what BOS did for you, what it refused to do and why, so you and the operator can see them.
How we use it
- To match opportunities to your profile and to prepare and, with your approval, submit your applications.
- To show you what happened, and to protect the service from misuse.
- BOS never invents facts about you. Everything it writes comes from what you provided.
Who sees it
- Your data is yours alone inside BOS. Other users cannot see it.
- The BOS operator can see account-level information (your e-mail, your plan, counts of your applications, and what BOS refused to do for you) in order to run the service. The operator does not use your documents for any other purpose.
- When you approve an application, BOS sends the application content to the employer or form you chose. That is the purpose of the service. Web forms are filled by BOS's own browser tool, which the operator runs; it stops and asks you whenever a site needs something only you can give.
- We do not sell your data and we do not show third-party advertising.
- The assistant in BOS answers only from your own stored data. At present BOS does not send your data to any outside AI service; if that ever changes, this policy will say so first.
Keeping it, and your choices
- BOS does not permanently delete records: obsolete material is archived or deactivated. You can ask the operator to deactivate your account; BOS then stops using your data for new work.
- You can sign out of every device at any time with "Sign out everywhere".
- You can ask the operator for a copy of your data.
Security
Connections are encrypted. Sessions use secure cookies. Sensitive documents and website sessions are encrypted at rest. Access is limited to what each person needs.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new date.
